The Pi LV1 is a stackable LFP battery built for the Australian market: cheap per kWh at wholesale, genuinely simple to install, and backed by the same 10-year warranty the premium brands offer. It is the battery we chose for our own installs, and after 130+ systems it is still the one we recommend.

Wholesale pricing, direct

We buy in volume and sell supply-only, so you pay close to trade on every module and stack. No installer margin baked into the battery, no retail markup for a brand name.

10-year manufacturer warranty with 6,000-cycle LFP cells and 70% capacity retention — the same warranty term as Tesla, Sungrow and BYD, at a fraction of the price per kWh.

Plug-and-play quick connectors, no hand-wiring, integrated DC breaker and fuse. Stack the modules, click them together, set the inverter comms and you are commissioning.

Scale as you go

5.12 kWh per module, 10.24 kWh to 30.72 kWh per stack, and up to 8 stacks (245.76 kWh) for bigger sites. Start small now and add modules later without replacing anything.

Not locked to one brand

48 V low-voltage architecture that talks to Deye and other mainstream hybrids. Sungrow batteries only work with Sungrow, Fox only with Fox — Pi LV1 gives you a choice.

The truth about battery cells in Australia

Almost every lithium home battery sold in Australia today — premium brand or not — uses LFP cells from one of the same handful of manufacturers: CATL, BYD, EVE, REPT and Gotion. The cells inside a Pi LV1 come off the same production lines as the cells inside the big-name batteries. Nobody in this market is making their own cells.

Same cells, different badge

CATL, BYD, EVE and REPT supply the vast majority of LFP prismatic cells used in Australian home batteries. Paying a premium does not buy you a better cell.

The real difference is BMS + build

What actually separates brands is BMS software (balancing, comms, protection logic) and pack build quality — busbars, terminals, enclosure and thermal design.

Cheap to fix out of warranty

If a Pi LV1 BMS board ever fails outside the warranty period, it is an inexpensive, replaceable part — not a whole-battery write-off like sealed all-in-one units.

So the question is not "whose cells are better" — it is whether the pack is well built, the BMS talks properly to your inverter, and whether someone who actually knows the equipment picks up the phone when you need them. That is where we come in.

Warranty handled directly by me — not a third party, not the installing electrician.

I am the appointed warranty technician for North QLD, so if something goes wrong with a Pytes system you bought from me, you call me. No call centre, no being bounced between the retailer, the installer and the manufacturer. I diagnose it, I raise it, and I see it through.
