Know who will help before you buy

A battery purchase is more than a capacity number and a warranty headline. You also need to know who understands the equipment, what information they need when something goes wrong and how a claim is assessed.

Daniel Shorey is the North Queensland warranty technician and has hands-on involvement in more than 130 Pytes Pi LV1 systems. For systems purchased through Evolve Energy Hub, Daniel is your direct contact for product advice, design questions, commissioning support and warranty concerns—not an unrelated third-party call centre.

Read the written warranty, not just the headline

Before ordering, ask for the current terms that apply to the exact product and purchase. A warranty duration alone does not explain eligibility, operating requirements, capacity retention conditions, exclusions or the remedy for a particular fault.

  • Which product, purchaser and installation conditions are covered?
  • Are registration, commissioning records or proof of purchase required?
  • What operating conditions and maintenance requirements apply?
  • How are a fault or capacity concern assessed?
  • What costs and responsibilities apply to diagnosis, removal, replacement and freight?
  • Who should receive the initial enquiry and what records should be supplied?

Coverage and remedies depend on the applicable terms and circumstances. This article does not promise that every fault is covered or that replacement labour and freight are automatically included.

What to send if a problem occurs

A clear first enquiry helps separate a battery issue from an inverter setting, communication problem or installation issue. When safe and available, send the following through the contact page:

  • Invoice or purchase details and the equipment model and serial numbers.
  • Inverter model, battery module count and commissioning information.
  • The exact alarm or error text, plus when it appeared.
  • Relevant monitoring screenshots and a description of what changed.
  • Installer contact details where electrical work or commissioning checks are needed.

Do not open equipment, alter wiring or repeatedly reset a system to chase a fault. If there are signs of overheating, smoke, damage or another immediate hazard, keep clear and contact emergency services or an appropriately qualified contractor as appropriate. Warranty advice is not emergency response.

Direct product support is separate from installation

Evolve Energy Hub supplies batteries, inverters and VFD drives; we do not sell installation work. Daniel’s product knowledge helps with selecting hardware and discussing equipment questions, while your licensed contractor remains responsible for electrical design and installation.

If you need a fully installed system, Shorecan Electrical and Solar is a separate business for installation enquiries. We do not present it as an Evolve branch or include its installation services in our hardware prices.

What happens outside the warranty?

Ask for an assessment before deciding to replace an entire system. A modular design may allow a particular component to be serviced or replaced, but suitability, availability and cost must be confirmed for the actual fault and equipment revision.

We do not advertise a universal BMS repair price or guarantee an economical repair for every failure. Daniel can discuss the available next steps for equipment purchased through Evolve and identify when a qualified contractor or manufacturer assessment is needed.

Build a better purchase record

Keep the invoice, model and serial numbers, manuals, commissioning records and installer details together. Ask questions about support before ordering, and make sure the quote clearly separates hardware from installation.

Read the Pi LV1 buying guide and BMU versus BCU article to understand the supplied components. For manufacturer information, see the Pytes Australian product overview; request the current written warranty terms for your purchase.

Discuss your hardware requirements

Send the model, application and delivery postcode. Daniel can help with product selection and a supply quote. Installation is separate and must be arranged with an appropriately qualified contractor.
